Hi there! It’s Been A While

So it's been a minute since i’ve had a chance to post here on the blog.  I feel like October was a blur of craziness...BUT I’m back!  We had so many awesome opportunities and I wanted to share a bit of our October with you.

First, my husband and I had a chance to be on one of the first sailings of Virgin Voyages.  Their brand new Scarlet Lady ship set sail for the first time on October 6th and we boarded on their 2nd sailing starting October 10th.  Our itinerary sailed to Costa Maya, Mexico and Bimini, Bahamas.  We had a BLAST!!!  One of the most unique features to Virgin Voyages is that they are the only adult-only cruise line around.  So not only was it a vacation…we left the littles at home for some much needed couple time.

While on board we had some amazing food (amazing really isn’t a good enough word for it but I’ll go with it) at all of their dining locations (all included-no extra fees).  We also enjoyed a couples massage while on board during our day at sea.  I don’t think either of us regretted that for a second!  While we were in Costa Maya, we did a glass bottom kayak excursion...we were a little disappointed but that may just be because we kayak often in Florida and it was similar to one of the trips we could have taken out at the beach.

However, when we were in Bimini we did a FABULOUS excursion- Shipwreck and Shark Snorkel- that I would highly recommend to anyone!  I never in a million years would have thought I’d get in the water willingly with sharks...but I did it! Adventurer badge- check! LOL You can read more about what we thought of our Virgin Voyages trip on my next blog!

Another awesome opportunity that we had in October was being a part of Get Your Teach On’s Rock Your School Event. Our school was chosen as the host site for the national event so we got to plan, set up, and experience a phenomenal day with our students. A few years ago before the pandemic, I had won GYTO’s Wild Card Challenge, and part of the prize was coming to our school. Unfortunately with the pandemic all of that got put on hold BUT this year the GYTO crew was finally able to come...and it was a day for the record books! Not gonna lie, this day took so much out of me BUT I don't think I could have imagined a better day and the kids kept telling us over and over how it was the “best day ever!”

And then of course comes Halloween, which is a chore by itself lol.  Having 3 girls with costumes, parades, trick or treating….oy! We got to spend the evening with friends we hadn’t seen in a while too so that made the chaos a little bit better!

Now as we head into November I am hoping for some relaxing holiday time with family and friends.  As sad as it sounds, I am already starting to plan spring break trips for guests… definitely pays to book early these days so why not get started now!
