Best Day EVER at Blizzard Beach!

Today was SO MUCH FUN! I really wasn’t sure what to expect at first because our last water park experience was a bit rough…but, as with all things Disney, Blizzard Beach was an AMAZING experience for everyone! All 3 of my girls had plenty to go and best of all, there are a TON of slides with no height requirement so my youngest, who is 3 years old, was able to have a blast all day and she didn’t have to stay in the kiddie area! (don’t get me wrong we loved that space too…but she was able to do some of the “big” slides with us and she loved them all).

Since we had such a great time, I wanted to share my Do’s and Don’ts for Blizzard Beach.

Do- bring a change of clothes (no one wants to get on an airconditioned bus with wet bathing suits)

Do-use own towels- not all water parks offer towels, in fact most don’t unless you pay to rent or buy them (Blizzard Beach has them available for rent).

Do-Wear water shoes- Personally I hate walking around in my bare feet at a park… and when things get wet and make mushy piles on the ground...just YUCK!!!

Do-Swim diapers- these are often a requirement for infants and toddlers but make sure you get a brand that will be effective

Do-Arrive early to claim chairs- The first place everyone heads towards in the wave pool (or equivalent) to get chairs for their family… unless you have a cabana reserved for the day, its necessary to arrive early so you aren't stuck putting your family of 5 all on one chair.

DON’T- bring stroller- it is going to be a hassle to get it on and off the bus and its just going to sit by the chairs that you arrived early to get

DON’T-forget sunscreen! No one likes being a lobster the day after the water park

DON’T- miss characters (at Disney water parks) sometimes they are hanging around when you least expect it

DON’T- leave valuables unattended.  I highly suggest getting a locker for anything that is valuable to you, this way they are secure for the day.

DON’T- wear a bikini! Ladies, let's be real, you are going down water slides...there is no way your bandeau top is gonna hold up! I always suck it up and wear the one piece on water park days...no one needs to see all that LOL

I would highly recommend Blizzard Beach to ALL families, even with younger children. There is so much to do! Unfortunately our day was cut short by a few rain storms, BUT, while we were there, lines were minimal and the experience was one of the BEST!
